What questions do you ask?
We have a list of over 100 questions that we start with. When the questions are asked there are many follow-up questions based solely on a person’s answers. Please let us know if there are certain questions you would like asked, talking points we should focus on, or even sensitive areas we should avoid.
How do I get ready?
Gather as many old photographs as you can that will help tell your story. Don’t be concerned about their condition, we can work them. If you feel comfortable you can write down memories that we can explore like your childhood, parents, grandparents, children, school days, working life, interests, experiences, lessons learned, and faith.
What should I wear for my interview?
Formal attire is not expected in the interview, dress in clothes that you feel most comfortable in. We want the real you! Please avoid all white tops, plaids, stripes, or checkered patterns these create a distracting moiré on-screen.
How long does a project take?
It all depends on the complexity of the legacy project. Most often a fully edited Legacy video with 40 photos typically takes 4-8 weeks. A Tribute Video, depending on the number of people to be interviewed, could take up to 10 weeks, a Keepsake Video, 2-6 weeks, a Memorial page 1-2 weeks.
There might be skeletons in the closet. How do you handle them during an interview?
Skeletons are in every family closet. While some don’t mind them being part of family, others do. We will simply edit out any information you would like to keep private. We work for you.
